How often does Mango Street Dreaming distribute scholarships? We award our education-based scholarship, La Santana Scholarship, on an annual basis. We award our community-based scholarship, Las Violetas Scholarship, on an as-funded basis.

How long has MSD been distributing scholarships? As of 2025, this is our third year awarding scholarships to students.

We have a basic guide available for those that would like to learn about the process and templates and trainings available for those that would like get a head start on their journey supporting local students.

La Santana Scholarship 

• How do I apply for La Santana Scholarship? Click the 'Apply Now' button under 'La Santana Scholarship' in the 'Scholarships' tab.

• When will the scholarship recipient be selected? October 5, 2025.

• When will the scholarship be distributed? As soon as we receive the signed scholarship agreement, proof of college/university enrollment, photo, and confirmation of use of scholarship funding from the selected scholarship recipient.

• What does MSD do with my information after applyng? Only names and emails are stored in our archives. All other information is discarded. MSD does not share or sell your information to third-parties.
